Tool Kits for Kids, LLC was formed as a collaboration between three psychologists. Our goal is to teach elementary, middle and high school skills as a first line of defense to help young people manage the emotional bumps and bruises of everyday life.

Suzanne Reiffel, Ph.D.

Dr. Suzanne Reiffel

Dr. Suzanne Reiffel received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University in 1975 and completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Institute for Behavior Therapy in New York. She has been in private practice since 1975 and has spent the past decade developing Took Kit Therapy. which she has used successfully in her practice with hundreds of children and teens. Dr. Reiffel served as the Coordinator of the Child and Adolescent Service in the Department of Behavioral Health at White Plains Hospital and is currently on the medical staff. She has held various teaching and staff positions at the Institute for Behavior Therapy, the Payne-Whitney Psychiatric Clinic at New York Hospital, the Protective Service Project in the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services, and the Hand Rehabilitation Services in New York City. Dr. Reiffel lectures frequently on child development, parenting, and anxiety management.

Erica Saxe Ross, Ph.D.

Dr. Erica Saxe Ross

Dr. Erica Saxe Ross earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 1977. She has been in private practice since 1979 working with children, teenagers, and parents. She has consulted in the court system and school settings and is certified in New York as a professional trainer of child abuse reporting. Dr. Ross was Director of Clinical Psychology Internship Training at The Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She is on the Executive Board of the Westchester County Psychological Association and is Editor of “The Westchester Psychologist”. Dr. Ross is a frequent lecturer on parenting techniques, social skills in children, self-control training, and families dealing with divorce.

Joel Haber, Ph.D.

Dr. Joel Haber

Dr. Joel Haber received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1983 from the University of Georgia with a specialty in Behavioral Medicine. He has been on the faculty of major medical centers and has directed Behavioral Health Centers in both medical school and hospital settings. He lectures extensively on a wide range of topics including: parenting, civility, character education, stress, resilience, and social cruelty. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses and has published extensively. Dr. Haber recently completed his second book, Bullyproof Your Child For Life, for parents who need the tools to manage bullying issues in their children’s lives. He is a national consultant to the American Camp Association. Dr. Haber’s work has been featured in The New York Times, CBS National News, ESPN, NPR Radio, and numerous other publications and magazines. He has been in private practice since 1988, and maintains a medical staff position at White Plains Hospital Center.

Charles Nalbantian

Mr. Nalbantian

Mr. Nalbantian received his MBA from Rutgers University in 1981. An experienced entrepreneur, he has held leading roles with life sciences and technology businesses in both blue chip and startup environments; including International Biotechnologies, Inc., Eastman Kodak Company, and Oxford Molecular Group. He also serves as a business advisor providing strategy, marketing and operations assistance to growing and early-stage companies.

Heather J. McClain

Ms. McClain received her BA in Communications and Advertising from Rowan University in 1992. She was an advertising executive with G&M in Short Hills, NJ until 1999 when she was recruited to become a marketing director with Gensler, a global architecture firm at their Morristown, NJ office. Throughout her professional career, Heather has enjoyed working in graphic design, and since 2004 she has been working exclusively as a freelance designer with a specialty in color art.
