Warning Signs of Bullying — and the Steps Parents Can Take to Help. It may be difficult for a child who is being bullied to speak up about it – making it especially important for parents to be able to spot any warning signs. “The key is looking for a change in behavior that may indicate a social issue is causing the child some pain,” said one of Tool Kits for Kids’ creators Dr. Joel Haber, a clinical psychologist and national expert on bullying prevention and the author of Bullyproof Your Child For Life.

End of the World Predictions Worry Kids and Teens

The media have recently been flooded with end of the world predictions. Promotions for big screen pictures about Mayan doomsday forecasts have been seen all over TV and the Internet. Kids and teens worry about these issues and many have not been able to calm their worries and doomsday fears. Many young people are able to enjoy being scared for a short time when they go to see a scary movie, but other children and teenagers have trouble stopping their fear and anxiety after the movie or scary story is over.
